Which plan is right for my project or for my business?
That depends on how much data storage you need. FiOR subscriptions are based on storage usage and whether you need an offline viewer with your subscription or not.
How many collaborators can I have sharing my project? Is there a limit?
You can have as many collaborators as you like viewing your project at no additional fee. We never set a limit on the number of team members that need to work with you on your project.
Is my data secure?
We leverage the robust foundation of the AWS platform, a leader in cloud infrastructure. Our security certifications and standards include ISO/IEC 27001:2013, 27017:2015, 27018:2019, 27701:2019, 22301:2019, 9001:2015, CSA STAR CCM v4.0, and PCI DSS and more. This is just a part of our commitment to adhering to the highest security standards.
What happens to my data if I end my subscription?
We keep the data archived for up to 6 months for subscribers, at which time all data is deleted from our servers. You can also simply download the data into our offline viewer at any time during your subscription to keep it forever.

Supported Cameras
RESolute targets high-resolution 360° still capture with Ricoh THETA and Insta360 hardware. Exact models and resolutions depend on your camera and firmware—use the manufacturer’s documentation for the latest specs.
Ricoh THETA
- Primary supported lines include THETA X and THETA Z1.
- Use the camera’s display and menus to choose photo mode and review shots in the field.
Insta360
- Supported lines include the X series (e.g. X5, X4 Air, X4, X3, ONE X2, ONE X), modular ONE R / ONE RS, and fisheye options RESolute can use for detailed panoramas.
- Maximum photo resolution depends on your specific camera and firmware—keep the camera updated.
Camera compatibility (reference)
- THETA X: high-resolution stills; on-camera touchscreen for review.
- THETA Z1: large sensors—strong dynamic range and low-light performance.
- Insta360 X series: flagship models support very high-resolution panoramas; check your model for its current photo ceiling.
- Modular ONE R / ONE RS: resolution depends on the module you have installed.
- Fisheye mods (including One-Inch): well suited to architectural and interior workflows.
Quality tip
- For demanding architecture or interior work, the Insta360 One-Inch fisheye path and Ricoh THETA Z1 are strong choices within their respective systems.
Requires iOS 13.0 or later on iPhone and iPad (iPadOS 13.0+).
Connection & Setup
Use Photo mode on the camera and connect before you start walking the site.
Before you connect
- Turn the camera Wi‑Fi on for high-resolution transfers.
- Enable Bluetooth for pairing and remote wake on supported models.
- Wi‑Fi network name and password are model-specific: use the camera’s Wi‑Fi / settings screen as the source of truth.
- Many Insta360 models use a default hotspot passphrase for older hardware; newer models often show a unique password in the camera Wi‑Fi menu—always verify on-device.
In RESolute
- Open Settings → Set Up New Camera (or your saved camera) and complete the Wi‑Fi handshake.
- Confirm each shot transferred (beep / app) before moving on.
Keep your phone within about 5–10 ft (1.5–3 m) of the camera when transferring; dense Wi‑Fi can interfere.
Field Best Practices
Consistent height, clean lenses, and steady movement produce the best layouts and stitching.
Mounting
- Helmet mount (flexible adhesive + ¼″ adapter) keeps hands free and a stable eye-level perspective.
- Clean helmet surface with alcohol before sticking the mount; let adhesive cure ~24 hours before heavy use when possible.
- Ensure the mount and camera do not block vision or compromise helmet fit.
Every capture
- Wipe both lenses with a microfiber cloth — one smudge ruins half the sphere.
- In dark spaces, add hard-hat or site lighting; avoid standing directly under a single bright bulb to reduce flare.
- Walk slowly (“coffee pace”) if moving during capture to limit motion blur.
- Stand near the center of rooms or halls; avoid hugging walls (within ~3 ft / 1 m) to reduce stitching stress.
Horizon & Leveling
Straight horizons keep floor plans and viewers aligned with reality.
Ricoh THETA
- Enable Top/Bottom Correction (auto horizon): on the camera touchscreen, open Shooting settings, then turn Top/Bottom Correction on.
Insta360
- FlowState and internal stabilization level the horizon automatically at capture.
- Keep camera firmware current for best calibration; there is no separate leveling toggle in RESolute for these models.
Quick Fixes
Common issues
- Blurry shots — clean lenses; slow down during capture.
- Tilted rooms — on Ricoh, turn Top/Bottom Correction on.
- Dropped connection — move closer; rejoin camera Wi‑Fi; reduce interference.
- Warped walls — capture from room center; don’t crowd walls.
